Ease it off: Stress Management and Burnout Prevention Program using Neuroscience, Mind-Body Therapies, Psychology, and Nutrition

Are the daily stressors accumulating?

Stress is part of life. Chronic stress is not.

Stress can even help us achieve our goals. The problem is when stress becomes chronic. When our nervous system doesn’t have the chance to restore and is constantly in arousal. Our bodies were not designed for that, and little by little, many of our internal bodily functions start falling apart.

Here are some of the signs of chronic stress and burnout.

  • You’ve been drinking more.

  • You become easily irritated.

  • You forget things.

  • You lost your motivation.

  • Your appetite has changed.

  • You almost never wake up refreshed.

  • You overreact to small things.

  • You have difficult focusing on one task.

  • Something seems off. You are not your old self.

THE STRESS RESPONSE IS NOT PURELY PSYCHOLOGICAL.

Stress manifests in the body.

Typical symptoms associated are:

  • Fatigue

  • Depression & Anxiety

  • Brain fog

  • Sleep problems

  • Digestive issues

  • Weight fluctuation

  • Hormonal imbalance

  • Elevated blood pressure

  • Joint & muscle pain

  • Insulin resistance

You might have tried to solve all those problems individually, without having realized yet that they are all connected to your chronic stress. It’s time to address the cause, not the symptoms.

How to restore all those functions again?

It takes an integrative approach. It takes learning how to connect to your inner needs, both physical and emotional, and implementing small changes to your lifestyle that can be sustained.

Mind

Body

Stress leads to inflammation, which in turn affects many bodily functions. This can be addressed through movement, nutrition, and sleep.

Nervous System

Regulating the nervous system is a big part of the puzzle. Chronic stress keeps the nervous system constantly in an aroused state, so switching into a relaxation mode is crucial for reverting this picture. We use a combination of restorative yoga therapy, mindfulness, visualization and breathing techniques and even journaling in order to find what works best for you.

Nutrition

What you eat can affect your mood. We use nutritional psychology and food as medicine principles to help improve your mental health and also to reduce systemic inflammation.
